Oaths and Declarations Act 1957
Officers of the New Zealand Customs Service Authorised to Take Statutory Declarations
Pursuant to section 9(1)(j) of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957 (“the Act”), I hereby authorise the holders for the time being of the offices in the service of the New Zealand Customs Service specified in the Schedule below to take statutory declarations under the Act.
I also hereby revoke all such previous authorisations granted to officers of the New Zealand Customs Service.

Pursuant to section 164 of the Animal Products Act 1999, notice is given of the issue on 23 September 2013 of the Animal Products (Overseas Market Access Requirements for Halal Assurances) Notice 2013, which comes into force on 25 October 2013.
A copy of the notice may be inspected or obtained at the office of the Ministry for Primary Industries, Pastoral House, 25 The Terrace, Wellington.

Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement
(Extension to Negotiation Period) Notice 2013
(Notice No. MPI 237)
Pursuant to section 11(3) of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004, the Minister for Primary Industries, after complying with the requirements in section 11(4) of that Act, gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Settlement (Extension to Negotiation Period) Notice 2013.
(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Interpretation—In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
(a) Act means the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004; and
(b) negotiation period means the period specified in section 11(2)(a) of the Act as the period within which the Crown must use its best endeavours to negotiate and enter into regional agreements that provide for the Crown to meet its obligations in respect of new space for the following:
(i) the Northland region;
(ii) the east coast of the Waikato region;
(iii) the Tasman region; and
(iv) the Marlborough region.
- Extension to negotiation period—The negotiation period is extended to 30 June 2014.
