Declaration That Land is a Recreation Reserve to Form Part of Pukekura Park

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the New Plymouth District Council hereby notifies that a resolution to the following effect was passed by the council on 18 September 2012:

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, and acting under an instrument of delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said district in an estate in fee simple for a public recreation ground reserve and described in the Schedule shall be and the same is declared to be gazetted a recreation reserve and, pursuant to section 16(2) of the Act, is deemed to be classified for that purpose and further, pursuant to the powers conferred on it by section 16(10) of the Act, declares the said reserve to form part of Pukekura Park, so named hereto in this notice.”

Classification of a Reserve as a Local Purpose Reserve

Under section 16(2A) of the Reserves Act 1977, the New Plymouth District Council, pursuant to a resolution dated the 18th day of September 2012, hereby classifies the botanic gardens and public recreation grounds reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (community purposes and recreation) reserve and further, declares that the said reserve shall cease to form part of Pukekura Park.
