Road Stopping and Amalgamation, and Land Acquired for Road—Marchant Road, Upper Hutt City

Pursuant to sections 20, 114, 116 and 117 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice shall vest in the Upper Hutt City Council as road on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, and the land described in the Second Schedule is to be stopped and amalgamated with the land described in the Third Schedule to this notice.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ainslie Drysdale, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 20, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for the efficient and safe construction and operation of State Highway 20 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 52(1)(d), declares the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be set apart for the efficient and safe construction and operation of State Highway 20 and to remain vested in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (cemetery) reserve and vests the reserve in the Thames-Coromandel District Council in trust for that purpose.
