Government Roading Powers Act 1989

Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003

New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2012/1

Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, and the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

Bylaw

1. Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2012/1 and will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Amendments—The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:

• Inserting new definition in Clause 2 Interpretation, to read:
  "Variable Speed Limit at Rural Schools (Turning Vehicle Hazard) Notice" means the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 17 May 2012, No. 55, page 1605."

• Deleting the definition of “School Zones Notice” in Clause 2 Interpretation and replacing it with:
  "School Zones Notice" means the notice signed on the 19th day of April 2011, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 April 2011, No. 55, page 1284."

• Inserting new line 266A in Schedule 1 to read:
  "Line No.: 266A
  Region: 3
  SH No.: 23
  Locality: Te Uku
  Section of State Highway: From 620m east of Matakotea Road to 230m east of Matakotea Road.
  Speed Restriction (km/h): 80
