Notification of Maritime Rules

Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of maritime rules:

Parts 31A and Part 32: Amendment 2012

Part 24B: Carriage of Cargoes – Stowage and Securing: Amendment 2012

These rules come into force on 17 May 2012.

Rules are available for inspection at Maritime New Zealand, Level 10, 1 Grey Street, Wellington, or downloaded from www.maritimenz.govt.nz/rules.

Declaring the Disposition of Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Under section 24B(4)(b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the marginal strip requirements set out in section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987 shall not apply to the disposition to the Tauranga City Council of the land required in connection with electricity works, being part of the Kaimai Hydro Scheme, specified in the Schedule.
