Ngāti Mākino Claims Settlement Act 2012
Notice of Treaty of Waitangi Settlement Discontinued Crown Protected Area Name for Ngāti Mākino
Pursuant to sections 63 and 77(1) of the Ngāti Mākino Claims Settlement Act 2012 (“the Settlement Act 2012”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of a discontinued Crown Protected Area (CPA) name.
The Schedule below specifies the details of the discontinued CPA name; its generic term; its description; and former New Zealand Gazette.
The discontinued CPA names took effect on 1 August 2012, being the date that the Settlement Act 2012 came into effect.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Kerry McPhail, Land Information New Zealand:
(a) Pursuant to section 20, and to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, declares that the land described in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for the use and convenience of a road, and vested in the Auckland Council;
(b) Pursuant to sections 20 and 28, and to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, declares the batter easement in gross described in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired over the land and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the said Second Schedule and shall vest in the Auckland Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
