Maree Zinzley, Manager (Approvals Operations) of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), acting under delegated authority from the Director-General of MPI, gives notice, under section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 (“the Act”), that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Act:

Contains 0.025g/kg difethialone in the form of a highly palatable soft bait

General Use Claims:
For the control of rats and mice including those resistant to other anticoagulants.
For use in and around buildings and in sewers.
Any person may make a written submission to the director-general concerning this application.
Under sections 16 and 17 of the Act, a written submission:
(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission; and
(b) may state any decision sought on that application; and
(c) must be received by the director-general no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
Under section 18 of the Act, a copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for the applicant’s information.

Notice of Variation of Scheduled International Air Service Licences
Pursuant to section 87Q(4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 41(1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 6 November 2007, I, John William Macilree, Principal Adviser, Aviation in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that the Secretary for Transport has exercised the power conferred by section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 to:
(a) vary the terms of the scheduled international air service licence issued to EVA Air to remove its operating capacity entitlement of three return services per week, and replace it with a code-share only provision; and
(b) vary the terms of the scheduled international air service licence issued to China Airlines to increase its operating capacity from three to seven return services per week with any aircraft type.
These variations took effect on 1 October 2012.
