(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Gazetting space for settlement purposes—For the purposes of preserving space to be used for meeting the Crown’s obligations under section 9 of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004, the Minister for Primary Industries declares the following space in the coastal marine area to be an aquaculture settlement area:
Lucas Bay (South), Akaroa Harbour
The area enclosed by a line:
(a) commencing at a point offshore (at 43°52.59′S and 172°55.76′E); then
(b) proceeding due north to a point offshore (at 43°52.50′S and 172°55.76′E); then
(c) proceeding in an easterly direction to a point offshore (at 43°52.53′S and 172°56.08′E); then
(d) proceeding due south to a point offshore (at 43°52.62′S and 172°56.08′E); then
(e) proceeding in a westerly direction to the point of commencement.

Research, Science, and Technology Act 2010
Amendments to the Notice to the Innovation Board Setting Criteria for Assessing Proposals for Specified Research, Science, and Technology Funding and the Notice of RS&T Funding Subject to a Separate Decision-making Process
Pursuant to sections 5(2) and 8(1) of the Research, Science, and Technology Act 2010, I:
-
amend the notice to the Innovation Board entitled “Criteria for assessing proposals for specified Research, Science and Technology funding” published in the Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 31 January 2011, No. 9, page 177, by deleting the following from page 192:
“RELATIONSHIP TO PREVIOUS INVESTMENT TYPES
Funding has historically been invested in this area using:
- Pre-Seed Accelerator fund.
- Envirolink.”

amend the notice entitled “RS&T Funding Subject to a Separate Decision-making Process” published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 December 2011, No. 193, page 5660, by inserting the following paragraph in the appropriate order:
“(q) Environmental Research Funding that is allocated using the Envirolink investment mechanism”

Notification of Proposal to Make Ordinary Rules
In accordance with section 34(1)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice of his intention to make the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rule:
CAR Part 125 — Medium Aeroplanes — Subparts H, I, and J Training and competency requirements
The purpose of this rule-making proposal is to review and update the requirements in:
(a) Subpart H of Part 125, regarding crew member requirements;
(b) Subpart I of Part 125, regarding training and training programmes for crew members; and
(c) Subpart J of Part 125, regarding crew member competency programmes.
Consequential Amendments:
Nil consequential amendments associated with this NPRM.
