Authorisation of the Exchange of a Reserve for Other Land

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Community Relations Manager of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the local purpose (soil conservation and river control) described in the First Schedule for the fee simple land described in the Second Schedule.

Cancellation of the Vesting of a Reserve in the Manawatu District Council, and Revocation of the Appointment to Control and Manage Part of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington/Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation cancels the vesting in the Manawatu District Council of the reserve described in the First Schedule and further, revokes the appointment of the Manawatu District Council to control and manage the part of the reserve described in the Second Schedule.

Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

Declaring Māori Freehold Land to be Included in a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court dated 16 January 2009, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto be set apart as a Māori reservation, as a wāhi tapu and be included in Te Kapotai Māori Reservation, the purpose of the reservation to be ko te take kia kaua e ngaro ngā urupā o matou tupuna and the beneficiaries are Te Kapotai, Ngatipare, Ngāti Te Awa and Ngatiawa hapū by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 March 1993, No. 35, page 718.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a fishing and landing reserve, to be known as the Waitai Māori Reservation for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Rosalene Richards.
