Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011

Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Review Panel Recommendations on Canterbury Earthquake (Historic Places Act) Order 2011

Pursuant to section 73(6) of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011 ("the Act"), the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice is the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Review Panel Recommendations on Canterbury Earthquake (Historic Places Act) Order 2011.

2. Review Panel recommendation—The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Review Panel made the following recommendation under section 73(3) of the Act to the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery and the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage:

The Review Panel recommends to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage that the Canterbury Earthquake (Historic Places Act) Order No. 2 2011 (version PCO 15177/1.3) be made without change.

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Avondale Intermediate School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 April 2010, No. 39, page 1104) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.

Amendment of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Karori Normal School (2874)

Pursuant to section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 26 November 2009, No. 171, page 4131, directing the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Karori Normal School.

The following functions, powers and duties are vested in the limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board in relation to property management (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager will also provide the board with advice on establishing procedures and processes (whether statutory or otherwise) for school-wide self-review.

This notice takes effect the day of its publication.
