Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010
Notice of Issue Under Section 36 of the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010 of Fit and Proper Standard for Licensed Insurers
This notice is given pursuant to section 36 of the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This standard may be cited as the Fit and Proper Standard for licensed insurers (the “Standard”) and shall come into force the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
(2) This Standard has the status of a regulation for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.

Description—This Standard specifies the matters that are relevant to the consideration of whether a person is fit and proper to be appointed to, and continue to hold, a position as director or relevant officer of a licensed insurer.

Availability—The Standard is available for inspection:
(a) at the head office of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, 2 The Terrace, Wellington; and
(b) on the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s website

Land Transport Management Act 2003
Revoking a State Highway and Declaring a Section of State Highway—State Highway 36, Pyes Pa Bypass, Tauranga
Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the Secretary for Transport gives notice that, with effect from 24 June 2011:
(a) Part of State Highway 36 described in the First Schedule is revoked.
(b) The section of new road described in the Second Schedule is declared to be State Highway 36.
First Schedule
Part of State Highway 36 commencing at old Route Position 0/0 at the intersection of State Highway 29 and Pyes Pa Road and extending in a generally southerly direction to old Route Position 2/1.93 (on Pyes Pa Road); the length of State highway to be revoked is 3.93 kilometres.
Second Schedule
The newly constructed Pyes Pa Bypass commencing at new Route Position 0/0 at the intersection of State Highway 29 and Takitimu Drive and extending in a generally south-easterly direction to new Route Position 0/4.50 (about 160 metres south of the recently constructed intersection with Pyes Pa Road); the length of State highway to be declared is 4.50 kilometres.

The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is, in relation only to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.

The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
