Amendment to the Condition of Vesting Reserve Land in the Queenstown Lakes District Council

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the following words are deleted from the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 8 November 1990, No. 195, page 4263:

"subject to the Regional Conservator, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation approving any management plan for the reserve and any amendments thereto".

In all other respects the original notice remains in full effect.

Grant of Right to Māori in Respect of Ancestral Burial Grounds Within a Historic Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the East Coast Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation grants representatives of Ngaiterangi, Nga Potiki, Ngati He, Ngati Pukenga, Waitaha, Tapuika, Ngati Whakaue and Te Arawa Lake Trust the right to bury the bones of unknown deceased Māori in the ancestral burial ground situated within the boundaries of the place specified therein.

Redefining the Beneficiaries of a Māori Reservation

On the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori land referred to in the Schedule by a notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 28 May 1998, No. 74, page 1655, was set aside as a Māori reservation.

Pursuant to section 338(5)(d) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, the purposes of the said Māori reservation are redefined by:
