Hikurangi Fire District Notice, February 2011

Under section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. This notice is the Hikurangi Fire District Notice, February 2011.

2. This notice comes into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for the Hikurangi Fire District.

Constitution of a Fire District

(a) The urban area of Hikurangi is constituted as a fire district.

(b) The fire district is assigned the name “Hikurangi Fire District”.

(c) The boundary of the fire district is defined and delineated on a plan held at the National Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Dated at Wellington this 24th day of February 2011.

Ngāti Apa (North Island) Claims Settlement Act 2010

Notice of a Treaty of Waitangi Settlement Geographic Name and Crown Protected Area Names for Ngāti Apa (North Island)

Pursuant to section 67 of the Ngāti Apa (North Island) Claims Settlement Act 2010 (“the Settlement Act 2010”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“the Board”) hereby gives notice of an altered official geographic name (and its location) in accordance with sections 65–69 of the Settlement Act 2010.

The Board hereby also gives notice of official Crown Protected Area names (and their locations), which have been altered in accordance with sections 51(4), 52, 53(4), 54(4) and 70 of the Settlement Act 2010.

Schedules 1 and 2 below specify the details of the official names; their geographic feature type or generic term; their descriptions; and their former names.

The official names took effect on 17 February 2011.

Pursuant to section 68 of the Settlement Act 2010, the Board may, in the future, agree to alter any official names or their locations, with the consent of the trustees of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Apa.
