Pursuant to the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 and the Crown Entities Act 2004, the annual report of the Health Sponsorship Council (“HSC”) for the year ended 30 June 2011 has been published.

The annual report contains the HSC’s financial statements, its statement of service performance, audit report and details of its performance against its outcomes.

In accordance with section 11(4) of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the NZ Transport Agency gives notice that the 2010/11 National Land Transport Fund Annual Report is available for the public to view and download on the NZTA website

Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003

90km/h Speed Limit State Highway 2, From State Highway 1 to State Highway 25

Pursuant to clause 6.3 of Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, and a delegation from the NZ Transport Agency, I, Glenn Bunting, Network Manager, approve a 90km/h speed limit on State Highway 2, in accordance with the conditions set out in this notice.

Conditions

  1. Extent of 90km/h Speed Limit

The NZ Transport Agency may set a 90km/h speed limit on State Highway 2 between the interchange at State Highway 1 near Pokeno and a point 230 metres south-east of the intersection with State Highway 25 near Mangatarata, excluding any section where a different speed limit is more appropriate.

  1. Signs

Speed limit signs that comply with Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 must be installed at each point where the speed limit changes and repeater signs must be installed in the 90km/h sections of road at intervals of 3 kilometres or less.

  1. Bylaw

To set the 90km/h speed limit approved in this notice, the Highways and Network Operations Group of the NZ Transport Agency must make a bylaw in accordance with Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ainslie Drysdale, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described in the First Schedule to this notice to be road and remain vested in the Waikato District Council;

(b) Pursuant to section 20, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for road and shall vest in the Waikato District Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
