(b) "Tangata Kaitiaki" are local dialect words that have the same meaning as "Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki", a term that is defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(c) "Tangata Kaitiaki" means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 for the management of customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.
(d) "area/rohe moana" means all fisheries waters enclosed by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark at the mouth of Kaawa Stream at 37°30.23'S and 174°44.56'E; then proceeding in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to a point at 37°28.37'S and 174°47.61'E; then proceeding in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to a point at the boundary of the Waikato Settlement at 37°27.78'S and 174°51.00'E; then proceeding in a generally southerly direction following the boundary of the Waikato Settlement to a point at 37°35.20'S and 174°52.60'E; then proceeding in a straight line in a south-westerly direction to a point on the mean high-water mark south of Otehe at 37°36.78'S and 174°46.81'E; then proceeding in a generally northerly direction along the mean high-water mark to the point of commencement. The geographical coordinates named in this notice are in terms of the WGS84 datum.

Appointment of Tangata Kaitiaki—On 23 September 2011, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture confirmed, under Regulation 9(1) of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the appointment of Anthony William Dennis as a Tangata Kaitiaki for managing customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.

Confirmation of tangata whenua—Ngāti Tāhinga, as represented in terms of this appointment by Pukerewa, is confirmed as the tangata whenua of the area/rohe moana to which the appointment of the Tangata Kaitiaki relates.

Power to authorise the taking of fisheries resources for customary food-gathering—A Tangata Kaitiaki may authorise any individual to take fisheries resources, managed under the Fisheries Act 1996, for customary food-gathering purposes from within the whole or any part of the area/rohe moana. No customary food-gathering of fisheries resources may take place in the area/rohe moana without an authorisation from a Tangata Kaitiaki.

Corrigendum—Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 3) 2010 (No. F529)
In the notice with the above heading, dated the 3rd day of May 2010 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 6 May 2010, No. 52, page 1449, in clause 2(d) please replace the interpretation to
"(d) "mātaitai reserve" means a traditional fishing-ground at Rapaki Bay encompassing those waters which lie inside straight lines drawn from Cass Bay-Church Reserve boundary (at 43°36.78'S and 172°41.6'E) to Windy Point (at 43°36.895'S and 172°40.4'E) to the 1C Taukahara boundary (43°36.951'S and 172°40.95'E); then along the mean high-water mark to the point of commencement."
with
"(d) "mātaitai reserve" means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters enclosed by a line that:
(i) commences at the mean high-water mark in line with the Cass Bay-Church Reserve boundary (at 43°36.56'S and 172°41.24'E); then
(ii) proceeds in a straight line in a south-westerly direction to a point offshore from Windy Point (at 43°36.82'S and 172°40.34'E); then
(iii) proceeds in a straight line in a south-westerly direction to a point on the mean high-water mark in line with the 1C Taukahara boundary (at 43°36.84'S and 172°40.14'E); then
(iv) proceeds along the mean high-water mark in a generally north-easterly direction to the point of commencement."

Notice Stating Where Copies of the Statement of Proposal for Consultation on Urgent Changes to Compliance Document B1 for the Canterbury Earthquake Region are Available
Pursuant to sections 29(5) and 30 of the Building Act 2004 ("the Act"), I give notice of consultation on an urgent amendment (ie Amendment 10) that was made to the compliance document for the New Zealand Building Code clause B1 Structure ("Compliance Document B1") on 19 May 2011. Amendment 10 modifies the verification method for structure ("B1/VM1") and the acceptable solutions for structure ("B1/AS1" and "B1/AS3") to take account of changes to the seismicity of the area contained within the boundaries of the Christchurch City Council, the Selwyn District Council and the Waimakariri District Council ("the Canterbury Earthquake Region").
The statement of proposal for Amendment 10 to the B1 Compliance Document can be downloaded free of charge from the Department of Building and Housing website at
www.dbh.govt.nz/consulting-on
This consultation is carried out in accordance with section 30(1)(a) of the Act, for the purpose of making a final decision on the urgent amendment to Compliance Document B1 that was made on 19 May 2011.
Note that NZS 3604:2011 (Section 5) was incorporated by reference into Compliance Document B1 as part of that urgent amendment.
