Important Notes Relating to Allocation Tables:

  1. Quota licences for the United States of America, European Communities and Dominican Republic are valid from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2012. Quota licences for prepared edible fat to Japan are valid from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013.

  2. Quota licences are subject to the European Union requirements limiting total butter quota volume in the first sub-period of the 2012 calendar year butter quota. No more than 50 per cent of the total quantity for the year may be used in the first sub-period (from 1 January to 30 June). However, any quantity not used in the first sub-period may be used in the second sub-period (1 July to 31 December).

  3. All quantities listed are in kilograms. Some quantities listed have been rounded to the nearest kilogram.

  4. NSPF cheese is cows’ milk cheese not specifically provided for elsewhere in the schedule of United States of America tariff rate quotas for cheese.

Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 2011 (F631)

Pursuant to section 60 of the Fisheries Act 1996 (“the Act”), the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, after consultation with representative organisations that have an interest provided in section 60 of the Act and after consideration of the matters specified in section 60(3) of the Act, gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 2011.

  2. Commencement—This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for king crab—From the date that this notice comes into effect, consent is given for New Zealand Longline Limited to hold quota shares for king crab having a combined quota weight less than or equal to 54.26 per cent of the combined total allowable commercial catches of king crab.

  4. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for red crab—From the date that this notice comes into effect, consent is given for New Zealand Longline Limited to hold quota shares for red crab having a combined quota weight less than or equal to 45.63 per cent of the combined total allowable commercial catches of red crab.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 16) 2011 (No. 632)

Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Fisheries Manager Customary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988) gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 16) 2011.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on 14 October 2011.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice:

    (a) "customary food-gathering" has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
