Reappointments/appointments to the Takeovers Panel
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has reappointed to the Takeovers Panel, as established under the Takeovers Act 1993
David Oliver Jones, of Auckland
as a member, pursuant to section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, and as chairperson, pursuant to section 6(2) of the Takeovers Act 1993, for a term commencing on 8 March 2011 and expiring on 30 September 2012; and
Colin Glenn Giffney, of Auckland
as a member, pursuant to section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, and as deputy chairperson, pursuant to section 6(2) of the Takeovers Act 1993, for a term commencing on 25 September 2011 and expiring on 30 September 2012; and appointed
Simon Michael Horner, of Auckland
Roger Frederick Wallis, of Auckland
as members, pursuant to section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004 and section 6(3) of the Takeovers Act 1993, for terms of five years commencing on 1 February 2011 and expiring on 31 January 2016.

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988
Initiation of Dumping Investigation: Preserved Peaches From Spain
Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 10(1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I have initiated an investigation to determine both the existence and effect of the alleged dumping of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice originating from Spain, being satisfied that sufficient evidence has been provided that:
(a) the goods imported into New Zealand are being dumped; and
(b) by reason thereof, there is a threat of material injury to the New Zealand industry producing like goods
and also being satisfied that the collective output of those New Zealand producers who have, in writing, expressed support for the application for an investigation constitutes:
(a) twenty-five percent or more of total New Zealand production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (assessed during the most recent representative period, being not less than six months); and
(b) more than 50 percent of the total production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (as so assessed) by those New Zealand producers who have, in writing, expressed support for or opposition to the application.

Notice Incorporating by Reference Preferential Rates of Duty on Imports From Hong Kong, China, Under the New Zealand–Hong Kong, China Closer Economic Partnership Agreement
Pursuant to section 7F of the Tariff Act 1988, notice is hereby given that the Tariff (New Zealand-Hong Kong, China Closer Economic Partnership Agreement) Amendment Order 2010, made under section 9 of the Tariff Act 1988 and dated 22 November 2010, incorporates by reference the rates of duty specified on pages 572 to 859 (in Annex 3) of the New Zealand-Hong Kong, China Closer Economic Partnership Agreement done at Hong Kong on 29 March 2009.
The Tariff (New Zealand-Hong Kong, China Closer Economic Partnership Agreement) Amendment Order 2010 can be viewed on the Ministry of Economic Development website
