Recognition as Lead Providers of Secondary-Tertiary Programmes Notice 2011

Pursuant to section 31F of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Recognition as Lead Providers of Secondary-Tertiary Programmes Notice 2011.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Recognised Lead Providers—The following school boards of trustees, industry training organisations, Government training establishments and institutions are recognised as lead providers of secondary-tertiary programmes:

• Tikipunga High School Board of Trustees
• Trident High School Board of Trustees
• Southern Cross Campus School Board of Trustees
• Wellington Polytechnic
• Waikato Polytechnic
• Christchurch Polytechnic
• Taratahi Agriculture Training
• Forestry Industry Training

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Te Whānau-ā-Apanui Area School (147)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for Te Whānau-ā-Apanui Area School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school and the educational performance of its students.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• All functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
• All functions, powers and duties of the board in financial management (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage communications (whether statutory or otherwise) relating to the areas of employment, curriculum and assessment practice.

This notice takes effect the day of publication.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 20 July 2009, which was granted under those Regulations to Paul Mainwaring in respect of Avalon Childcare Centre (60210), situated at Percy Cameron Street, Avalon, Lower Hutt.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to section 31F of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Recognition as Lead Providers of Secondary-Tertiary Programmes Notice (No. 2) 2011.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Recognised Lead Provider—The Manukau Institute of Technology, being an institution within the meaning of section 159 of the Education Act 1989, is recognised as a lead provider of a secondary-tertiary programme.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 8 August 2007, which was granted under those Regulations to Nigel Rimene in respect of Te Kohanga Reo O Tumatauenga (70615), situated at I Ackland Avenue, Burnham.
