Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Hammersley Park School, Christchurch (520)
Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Hammersley Park School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school and the welfare of its students.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all the functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
and - all functions, powers and duties of the board in relation to property management (whether statutory or otherwise).
The limited statutory manager will take office on 18 July 2011.

Supplementary Integration Agreements
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, Education, Curriculum and Performance, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:
- Columba College, Dunedin (385).
- Sacred Heart Cathedral School, Thorndon (141).
- St Bede’s College, Christchurch (315).
The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on 7 July 2011.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998
Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Fairfield College (129)
Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Fairfield College School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board to establish procedures and processes for school-wide self-review;
- all functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
and - all functions, power and duties of the board to manage finances (whether statutory or otherwise).
A limited statutory manager may also advise the board on the following:
- Consolidating new and improved systems into board management practices; and
- the exercise of its governance powers.
The limited statutory manager will take office on 8 July 2011.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 10) 2011 (No. F595)
Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Fisheries Manager Customary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988) gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 10) 2011.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on 15 July 2011.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) “customary food-gathering” has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(b) “Kaitiaki” is a local dialect word that has the same meaning as “Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki”, a term that is defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(c) “Kaitiaki” means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 for the management of customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.
(d) “area/rohe moana” means all those waters of Aotea Harbour and the adjacent coastline enclosed in an
