Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Notice of Initiation: Review of Anti-dumping Duty on Preserved Peaches from China

Pursuant to section 14(8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I have initiated a review of the imposition of anti-dumping duty in respect of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice (the goods).

This initiation follows the receipt of an application made by the New Zealand industry providing positive evidence justifying the need for a review.

Anti-dumping duty was imposed on the goods following a determination dated the 21st day of August 2006. Notice of this final determination was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 August 2006, No. 100, page 2967.

Description of Goods
Peaches in preserving liquid, in containers up to and including 4.0 kg.

The goods are classified under tariff item and statistical key 2008.70.09.00L of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.

Education Act 1989

Merger of Kawerau North School (1769), Kawerau Central School (1767) and Putauaki School (1915)

Pursuant to section 156A of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that Kawerau North School (1769), Kawerau Central School (1767) and Putauaki School (1915) will merge on 27 January 2012.

The board of Putauaki School will be the board of the continuing school.

Te Whata Tau o Putauaki, Kawerau, Establishment

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Whata Tau o Putauaki establishment.

  2. This notice shall come into force the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. I hereby establish in Kawerau, a Year 1–8 co-educational school called Te Whata Tau o Putauaki and designate the school as a designated character school.

  4. The school will become established with effect from 1 January 2012.

  5. The following aims, purposes and objectives of Te Whata Tau o Putauaki shall constitute its designated character:

    (a) Te Whata Tau o Putauaki will deliver the New Zealand curriculum in te reo Māori in an environment permeated by wairua Māori.

    (b) The cultural, spiritual and intellectual property of Te Whata Tau o Putauaki will be the framework of the kura curriculum.

    (c) Manaakitanga and whakawhanaungatanga will underpin all activities of the kura.

Pursuant to sections 146 and 156 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby give the following notice.
