Land Transport Act 1998

Land Transport (Blood Test Fee) Notice 2010

Pursuant to section 67(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998,
the Minister of Police gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice is the Land Transport (Blood Test
    Fee) Notice 2010.

  2. Commencement—This notice comes into force 28 days
    following notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. Blood test fee (alcohol)—For the purposes of section 67
    of the Land Transport Act 1998, the prescribed blood test
    fee to determine whether or not alcohol is present in a blood
    specimen is $93.00 (inclusive of any goods and services tax
    payable).

  4. Blood test fee (specified controlled drugs)—For the
    purposes of section 67 of the Land Transport Act 1998,
    the prescribed blood test fee to determine whether or not a
    controlled drug specified in Schedule 1 (except Thalidomide),
    Schedule 2 (except Methadone and Gamma-hydroxybutyrate
    (GHB)), or Part 1, 4, or 7 of Schedule 3 (except
    Benzylpiperazine (BZP)) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975
    is present in a blood specimen, is $670.00 (inclusive of any
    goods and services tax payable).

  5. Blood test fee (prescription medicine)¹—For the
    purposes of section 67 of the Land Transport Act 1998,
    the prescribed blood test fee to determine whether or not
    a prescription medicine is present in a blood specimen is
    $395.00 (inclusive of any goods and services tax payable).

  6. Blood test fee (specified drugs)²—For the purposes of
    section 67 of the Land Transport Act 1998, the prescribed
    blood test fee to determine whether any of the specified
    drugs listed below are present in a blood specimen is
    $395.00 (inclusive of any goods and services tax payable):

Brotizolam
Camazepam
Chlordiazepoxide
Clobazam
Clonazepam
Clotiazepam
Cloxazolam
Delorazepam
Diazepam

    For the purposes of section 67 of the Land Transport Act
    1998, the prescribed blood test fee to determine whether
    Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) is present in a blood
    specimen is $595.00 (inclusive of any goods and services
    tax payable).

  2. Blood test fee (Methadone)²—For the purposes of
    section 67 of the Land Transport Act 1998, the prescribed
    blood test fee to determine whether Methadone is present in
    a blood specimen is $395.00 (inclusive of any goods and
    services tax payable).

  3. Blood test fee (Propoxyphene)²—For the purposes of
    section 67 of the Land Transport Act 1998, the prescribed
    blood test fee to determine whether Propoxyphene is present
    in a blood specimen is $395.00 (inclusive of any goods and
    services tax payable).
