Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Riverhills School (1465)
The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Riverhills School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 August 2009, No. 119, page 2722) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.
This notice takes effect on 17 June 2010.

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Mangakino Area School (329)
Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Mangakino Area School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school and the educational performance of its students.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise); and
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to establish processes for planning and reporting (whether statutory or otherwise) including charter review, strategic planning and annual planning.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998
Fisheries (FLA 3 Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2010 (No. F539)
Pursuant to section 13(7) of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, after having regard to the matters specified in section 13, makes the following notice.

Title—This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (FLA 3 Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2010.

Commencement—This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

FLA 3 Fishery defined—The FLA 3 Fishery is the flatfish fishery carried on in flatfish quota management area 3 as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986, Schedule 1, "Flatfishes", Item D.

Total allowable catch for the FLA 3 Fishery increased for 2009–2010 fishing year—The total allowable catch for the FLA 3 Fishery for the 2009–2010 fishing year is increased from 1,617 to 1,957 tonnes greenweight in accordance with section 13(7) of the Fisheries Act 1996.

Total allowable catch for the FLA 3 Fishery reverts—From 1 October 2010, the total allowable catch for the FLA 3 Fishery reverts back to 1,617 tonnes greenweight in accordance with section 13(8) of the Fisheries Act 1996.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 11) 2010 (No. F540)
Under Regulation 10 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Deputy Chief Executive Fisheries Management at the Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1998) gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 11) 2010.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on 18 June 2010.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) "customary food-gathering" has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(b) "Tangata Kaitiaki" are local dialect words that have the same meaning as "Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki" a term that is defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(c) "Tangata Kaitiaki" means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 or 10 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 for the management of customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.
(d) "area/rohe moana" means the area described by a line from the Ouepoto Stream (at 40°08.9'S and 176°50.7'E) south-east to the North Madden Bank (at 40°22.0'S and 177°12.0'E); then south-west to the South Madden Bank (at 40°38.0'S and 177°01.0'E); then west to the mouth of the Akito River (at 40°36.4'S and 176°25.1'E); and then generally north-east following the coastline to the point of commencement. The geographical coordinates named are in terms of the WGS84 datum.
- Request to cancel appointments—The Ngāti Kere Rohe Trustees, acting for Ngāti Kere, being representative of tangata whenua who nominated John Nepe Apatu, Jeff Hira, Raylene Hutcheson, Russell Kupa, Hiraka Renata, Ross Young Scott and Donald Tipene as Tangata Kaitiaki
