Animal Products Act 1999

Notification of Issue of Notices for Export of Live Animals and Germplasm Relating to

(a) Requirements for Issue and Control of Official Assurances and
(b) Recognised Agencies and Persons Specifications for the Export of Live Animals and Germplasm (Notice No. 1685)

Pursuant to section 164(3)(a) of the Animal Products Act 1999, I give notice of the issue on 20 May 2010 of the following notices in relation to the export of live animals and germplasm:

(a) The Animal Products (Requirements for Issue and Control of Official Assurances) Notice 2010, issued pursuant to section 167(1)(k) of the Animal Products Act 1999.

(b) The Animal Products (Recognised Agencies and Persons Specifications for the Export of Live Animals and Germplasm) Notice 2010, issued pursuant to sections 167(1)(m), (o), (p) and (q) of the Animal Products Act 1999.

The above notices revoke the previous notices dated the 11th day of December 2008 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 December 2008, No. 195, page 5156:

(a) Requirements for Issue and Control of Official Assurances; and

(b) Recognised Agencies and Persons Specifications for the Export of Live Animals and Germplasm.

Animal Welfare Act 1999

Issue of Animal Welfare (Commercial Slaughter) Code of Welfare 2010 (Notice No. 1686)

I hereby give notice that, under section 75 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, the Animal Welfare (Commercial Slaughter) Code of Welfare 2010 will be issued on 27 May 2010 and comes into effect on 28 May 2010.

I also give notice, under section 76 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, that the Animal Welfare (Commercial Slaughter) Code of Welfare 2002 will be revoked on 28 May 2010.

The code of welfare is available for inspection free of charge and for purchase at the following address:

Customs and Excise Act 1996

Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table (Alcoholic Beverages Indexation) Amendment Order 2010

Pursuant to section 76 of the Customs and Excise Act 1996, notice is hereby given of the making of Regulations for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.

Notice

1. Title—This order is the Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table (Alcoholic Beverages Indexation) Amendment Order 2010.

2. Commencement—The Order shall come into force on 1 July 2010.

3. Effect of Order—This order adjusts the excise and excise-equivalent duties on alcoholic beverages to reflect the movement in the Consumers Price Index (excluding credit services) over the 12-month period ending on 31 March 2010.

4. Revocation—The Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties (Alcoholic Beverages Indexation) Amendment Order 2009 (SR 2009/146) is revoked.
