Pursuant to section 154 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that Waihaorunga School, Waimate, will close on 11 February 2010 and will cease to be established on that day.

Notice of Tertiary Education Strategy 2010–2015
Under section 159AC of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives notice as follows.

- This notice may be cited as the Tertiary Education Strategy 2010–2015 Notice.
Tertiary Education Strategy 2010–2015

The Tertiary Education Strategy issued under section 159AA of the Education Act 1989 sets out the Government’s long-term strategic direction for tertiary education, together with its current and medium-term priorities. In particular, the TES addresses the Government’s economic, social and environmental goals for tertiary education, and the development aspirations of Māori and other population groups.

The Minister for Tertiary Education has revoked the Tertiary Education Strategy 2007–2012 (incorporating the Statement of Tertiary Education Priorities for 2008–2010) and replaced it with a new Tertiary Education Strategy 2010–2015.

The Tertiary Education Strategy 2010–2015 can be viewed and downloaded from the Ministry of Education website at

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998
Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(iii) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 13 October 2008, which was granted under those Regulations to Joanne Ellis in respect of Middleton Early Childhood Centre (83009), situated at 120 Middleton Road, Corstorphine, Dunedin.

Supplementary Integration Agreements
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, Schools and Student Support, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:
Reignier School, Greenmeadows, Napier.
St John’s College, Hastings.
St Joseph’s School, Waipukurau.
The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on 15 January 2010.
Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, Bower Building, 8A Lever Street, Ahuriri, Napier.
