Announcement of Offshore Reinga Petroleum Block Offer

Pursuant to section 24 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991, the Minister of Energy and Resources invites bids for petroleum exploration permits in New Zealand’s Offshore Reinga Basin.

Further information regarding the Block Offer, including related maps, reports and the Block Offer Notice, can be found on the Crown Minerals website

The closing date for receipt of bids for the Offshore Reinga Block Offer is 18 August 2010.

Data Packs containing geological reports, seismic and other data are available free of charge.

Before preparing and submitting a bid, bidders are encouraged to familiarise themselves with New Zealand’s legislation, regulation and policy for the allocation and administration of petroleum permits, contained primarily in the Crown Minerals Act 1991, the Crown Minerals (Petroleum) Regulations 2007 and the Minerals Programme for Petroleum 2005.
