Manager, hereby authorise the continuation beyond Friday 30 April 2010 of the installation and maintenance of experimental alternative (nearside) pedestrian signal displays at seven locations in Lower Hutt and Petone as described in the notice entitled **“Alternative Pedestrian Traffic Signal Display Trial Extension”* in accordance with the conditions set out in Schedules 1 and 2 of the notice entitled “Alternative Pedestrian Traffic Signal Display Trial”†** until either this Rule is amended to allow their use or a decision is made not to so amend this Rule.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—State Highway 2 Papatawa, Tararua District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).

The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for road, namely for the realignment of State Highway 2 between Woodville and Papatawa.

The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.

Any person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Level 5, District Court Building, Ballance Street, Wellington 6011 (Postal Address: PO Box 5027, Lambton Quay, Wellington 6145) within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
