The proposed changes will also ensure that the Traffic Control Devices Rule is consistent with the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004 and other legislation, update engineering practice and allow the use of some new technologies.

A copy of the draft amendment Rule may be obtained by calling the NZ Transport Agency Contact Centre on freephone 0800 699 000 or is available on the website at
www.nzta.govt.nz/consultation/tcd-amendment-2010/

The draft amendment Rule is also available for viewing at the NZ Transport Agency’s regional offices.

Groups and individuals who have registered an interest in the Rule have been advised of the availability of the draft Rule.

Submissions close on 19 May 2010.

Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Whanganui 2010, No. 1.
The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is, in relation only to that piece of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.
The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
