Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation over the local purpose reserve described in the Schedule and declares the land may be disposed of by the Hutt City Council at current market value, the proceeds of such sale to be paid into the council’s reserve account, to be used and applied, in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Classification of Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Wellington City Council notifies that it resolved on 11 December 2009, in exercise of powers conferred on it by section 16(2A) of the Reserves Act 1977, that the reserve described in the First Schedule is classified as a scenic reserve and the reserve described in the Second Schedule is classified as a recreation reserve.
