Conservation Act 1987

Ngati Tama Claims Settlement Act 2003

Appointment of a Joint Advisory Committee

Under sections 42 and 43 of the Ngati Tama Claims Settlement Act 2003 and section 56(1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby appoints the members named in the Schedule to be a joint advisory committee for the purposes of the Ngati Tama Claims Settlement Act.

Each member shall hold office for a term of five years from 28 February 2010.

The Conservator, Wanganui, and the Taranaki Area Manager of the Department of Conservation Wanganui Conservancy are appointed ex officio and, in the case of the Conservator, the Conservator’s nominee may attend meetings on the Conservator’s behalf and exercise all the functions of a member of the committee.

Paul Douglas Silich shall be the chairperson of the committee.

Testing Laboratory Registration Act 1972

Reappointment to the Testing Laboratory Registration Council

The Minister of Commerce has reappointed to the Testing Laboratory Registration Council

Dr Robin Pratt, of Christchurch

as a member and chairperson, for a term commencing on 1 May 2010 and expiring on 30 April 2013.

This appointment is made in accordance with section 28(1)(a) and clause 1(1) of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 and section 4(1)(a) of the Testing Laboratory Registration Act 1972, or any enactment which corresponds to, or replaces, the Testing Laboratory Registration Act 1972.

Alternative Constitution for the Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Wairarapa (1651), Masterton

Pursuant to section 105A of the Education Act 1989 ("the Act"), I hereby give the following notice.

Notice

Membership of the Board

1. The board of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Wairarapa, Masterton will be made up of the following people:

   (a) Five parent representatives, one elected by parents of students in each of the whānau groupings;

   (b) one staff representative;

   (c) the principal, (without voting rights);

   (d) one Ministerial appointment;

   (e) one Kaitiaki Kaupapa (either elected by the board or appointed by another organisation by invitation);

   and

   (f) two co-opted members.

Parent Representatives

2. An election for the school’s parent representatives shall be held, with the representatives being nominated and elected in accordance with the following:

   (a) Parents of each whānau group (or the equivalent thereof) will elect one representative to the board;
