Intention to Review the Approved Code of Practice for Pressure Equipment (Excluding Boilers) (2001)

Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review the code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for pressure equipment.

There have been a number of proposed changes to the Pressure Equipment Cranes and Passenger Roadways Regulations, Standards and guidance material for pressure equipment.

Accordingly we are seeking input and feedback on the current code.

The current code is available on the Department of Labour’s website

www.dol.govt.nz

It is intended that the reviewed code would apply to the pressure equipment industry with other key stakeholders including engineers and those who utilise pressure equipment.

Interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed code.

Written submissions in relation to the approval of this code can be made by mail to Pressure Equipment Approved Code of Practice Submissions, Technical Services, Department of Labour, PO Box 3705, Wellington, or email standards@dol.govt.nz with the subject line Pressure Equipment Approved Code of Practice Submissions.

Intention to Review Maintenance of Trees Around Power Lines – Approved Code of Practice for Safety and Health – Part 2 (1996)

Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review a code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for tree maintenance and felling around power lines.

An industry working party has been reviewing this code and is seeking additional input and feedback on the original code to be incorporated into the draft that is being written.

The current code is available on the Department of Labour’s website

www.dol.govt.nz

It is intended that the reviewed code would apply to the arboriculture industry with other key stakeholders including the forestry and electricity sectors.

Interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed code.

Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review the code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for passenger ropeways.

There have been a number of proposed changes to the Regulations, Standards and guidance material for passenger ropeways.

Accordingly we are seeking input and feedback on the current code.

The current code is available on the Department of Labour’s website

It is intended that the reviewed code would apply to those who work within the passenger ropeways industry including manufacturers, engineers and those who operate them.

Interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed code.

Intention to Review River and Stream Operations – Approved Code of Practice for Safety and Health in Tree Work – Part 3 (1994)

Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review a code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for river and stream operations in tree work.

The likely outcome of this review will be to revoke this code and to incorporate the necessary sections into the Forestry Operations Approved Code of Practice (which is also being reviewed).

Accordingly we are seeking input and feedback on the current code.

The current code is available on the Department of Labour’s website

www.dol.govt.nz

It is intended that the reviewed code would apply to the forestry industry.

Interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed code.
