Canterbury Earthquake Response and Recovery Act 2010
Appointment of the Commissioners of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Commission
Pursuant to section 11(4) of the Canterbury Earthquake Response and Recovery Act 2010, the Minister Responsible for the Canterbury Earthquake Response, the Minister of Finance and the Minister for the Environment are pleased to appoint the following commissioners to the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Commission, effective 18 October 2010 to 1 April 2012:

Arihia Bennett
Dame Margaret Bazley
The Christchurch City Council Mayor, Bob Parker
The Selwyn District Council Mayor, Kelvin Coe

Crown Entities Act 2004
Appointments to the Electricity Authority
Pursuant to section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government (in the absence from New Zealand of His Excellency the Governor-General) has appointed the following members to the Electricity Authority, as established under the Electricity Industry Act 2010:
Dr Thomas Brent Layton ONZM, of Wellington
as a member and chairperson (pursuant to clause 1(2) of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004) for five years;
Susan Marie Paterson, of Auckland
for five years;
Elena Josephine Trout, of Auckland
for five years;
Hon Roger Morrison Sowry, of Paraparaumu Beach
for 18 months; and
David John Bull, of Martinborough
for 18 months.
All appointments take effect on 1 November 2010.
