Airworthiness Directives

Pursuant to section 72I(3A) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, I, Owen Olls, Airworthiness Specialist, acting under a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in respect of aircraft or aeronautical products.

Notification of Ordinary Rules

In accordance with section 34(2) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notice is hereby given that the Minister of Transport signed the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules on 20 September 2010 which will come into force on 1 November 2010:

Part 1 – Definitions and Abbreviations, Amendment 43 (CAA Docket 0/CAR/1354)

Part 12 – Accidents, Incidents, and Statistics, Amendment 6 (CAA Docket 0/CAR/1354)

Part 119 – Air Operator – Certification, Amendment 12 (CAA Docket 0/CAR/1354)

Part 121 – Air Operations – Large Aeroplanes, Amendment 21 (CAA Docket 0/CAR/1354)

Part 145 – Aircraft Maintenance Organisations – Certification, Amendment 10 (CAA Docket 0/CAR/1354)

Telecommunications Act 2001

Notice of Initiation of the Standard Terms Development Process for the Mobile Termination Access Services (MTAS) Fixed-to-Mobile Voice (FTM), Mobile-to-Mobile Voice (MTM) and Short Messaging Services (SMS) Under the Telecommunications Act 2001

Pursuant to section 30D of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), the Commerce Commission gives public notice that it has decided, under section 30C of the Act, to initiate a standard terms development process for the designated access service described in subpart 1, Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Act as:

“Termination (and its associated functions) on a cellular mobile telephone network of any, or any combination, of the following:

  • voice calls originating on a fixed telephone network;
  • voice calls originating on another cellular mobile telephone network; and
  • short-message-service (SMS) originating on another cellular mobile telephone network.

For the avoidance of doubt, these services include the termination of internationally originated voice calls and SMS, and voice-over-Internet-protocol-originated voice
