Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) gives notice that Galpro Stylex Limited intends to apply for approval of the Code of Practice: Non refillable cylinders manufactured to BS EN 12205: 2001.

Under Regulation 25(a)(ii) of the Hazardous Substances (Compressed Gases) Regulations 2004, ERMA may approve a code of practice that specifies requirements equivalent to the requirements of a standard referred to in Regulation 25(a)(i). Galpro Stylex Limited has applied for non refillable cylinders manufactured to BS EN 12205: 2001 to be approved under this Regulation.

Notice of Exemption From Maritime Rules: 21.13(1)(b); 25.7(1)(c)(ii); 34.7(1)(a); 34.7(1)(b); 40A.33(2)(e); 40A.55(1); 42A.37(1)(a); 47.65(2)

Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(b) – Safe Ship Management Systems – Entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain in Safe Ship Management System – New Zealand Safe Ship Management Certificate issued by Director

  • 3 from Maritime Rule 25.7(1)(c)(ii) – Nautical Charts and Publications – Chart and Publications Requirements – Nautical Charts – paper-back-up nautical charts

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 34.7(1)(a) – Medical Standards – Medical Standards for Seafarers – Requirement for medical certificate – current medical certificate category A

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 34.7(1)(b) – Medical Standards – Medical Standards for Seafarers – Requirement for medical certificate – current medical certificate category A(T) or category B

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 40A.33(2)(e) – Design, Construction and Equipment Passenger ships which are not SOLAS ships – Machinery – Petrol inboard and outboard engines

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 40A.55(1) – Design, Construction and Equipment Passenger ships which are not SOLAS ships – Fire fighting appliances

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 42A.37(1)(a) – Safety Equipment – Life Saving Appliances, Performance, Maintenance and Servicing – Servicing of inflatable liferafts at intervals not more than 12 months

Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004

Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 —Alternative Parking Zone Signs Trial – Eden Park

Pursuant to subclause 3.4(1) of the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 (the Rule) and pursuant to a sub-delegation to me by the New Zealand Transport Agency, I, Lyndon Bryan Hammond, National Manager Network Management, hereby authorise the installation and maintenance of alternative parking zone signs:

(i) for the purpose described in Schedule 1;

(ii) in the form and layout, set out in Schedule 2;

(iii) at the location stated in Schedule 3;

(iv) for the period specified in Schedule 4; and

(v) subject to the terms and conditions detailed in Schedule 5.

These alternative parking signs shall be used for the purpose of evaluating their use and the trial shall be called the "Alternative parking zone signs trial – Eden Park".
