Notice

Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Completion of Review in Respect of Countervailing Duty on Canned Peaches From the European Union.

(2) I have completed the review and determined that the subject goods described in the Schedule to this notice are not currently subsidised and that there is not likely to be a recurrence of subsidisation causing material injury to the New Zealand industry producing like goods should countervailing duties be removed.

(3) I have therefore determined that the continued imposition of countervailing duties on the goods described in the Schedule is not necessary.

Completion of Review and Initiation of Reassessment in Respect of Anti-dumping Duties on Canned Peaches From Greece

Pursuant to section 14(8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (“the Act”), and under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, having carried out a review of the imposition of the anti-dumping duties in respect of imports into New Zealand of canned peaches from Greece, and following the completion of that review, pursuant to section 14(6) of the Act, I hereby give the following notice.

Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Completion of Review and Initiation of Reassessment in Respect of Anti-dumping Duties on Canned Peaches From Greece.

(2) I have completed the review and determined that there is a likelihood of a recurrence of dumping causing material injury to the New Zealand industry producing like goods, should anti-dumping duties be removed, and therefore the continued imposition of anti-dumping duties on the goods described in the Schedule is necessary.

(3) I have initiated a reassessment of the amount of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of the goods described in the Schedule.

Amendment to the Education (Domestic Students) Notice 2001

Pursuant to section 2(1) paragraph (e) of the definition of the term "domestic student" and section 4A(1) of the Education Act 1989, clause 2(c) of the Education (Domestic Students) Notice 2001* is amended by inserting, after

"unexpired work permit"

in that subclause, the words

"or a special visitor permit for holders of employer-specific work permits dismissed during a 90-day trial period".

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Whanganui Awa School (559)

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Whanganui Awa School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 October 2007, No. 110, page 2903) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.
