Notice to Designate a Port Security Area

Pursuant to section 45 of the Maritime Security Act 2004, I, Catherine Taylor, Director of Maritime New Zealand, hereby give notice as follows:

The following fixed installation operated by OMV New Zealand Limited is designated as a port security area:

The “Raroa”, a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility, approximately 80km west off the Taranaki coastline, at coordinates latitude 39°58'21.8623"S and longitude 173°17'51.6630"E.

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2005/7*

Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways

Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, and Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, the New Zealand Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

Amendments

  1. Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the New Zealand Transport Agency (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2009/3A and will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Amendments—The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:

    (a) Replacing line 650 in Schedule 3 to read:
