2. Interpretation—In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, “line function services” has the meaning given to that term by section 2 of the Electricity Act 1992.

3. Approval as a requiring authority—Contact Energy Limited, as an electricity operator, is hereby approved as a requiring authority under section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, for the provision of its line function services in relation to the connection of renewable energy generation sites to the national grid or to a local electricity distribution network.
