Notice that the Minister of Labour has approved amendments to a Code of Practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
The third edition of the Approved Code of Practice for Cranes sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the designers, manufacturers, suppliers, operators, maintainers and inspectors of cranes.
The Department of Labour has consulted widely with members of the crane industry and the public to prepare the amendments to the approved code.
The approved code is available for downloading at
www.osh.dol.govt.nz
The commencement date for this Approved Code of Practice is 7 January 2010.
