Telecommunications Act 2001

Clarification of Determination

Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Telecommunications Act 2001, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice of the clarification of the Determination on Local and Cellular Telephone Number Portability Designated Multinetwork Services (Decision No. 554).

The clarification made the various amendments to the Local and Mobile Number Portability (LMNP) and Network Terms which are part of Decision 554 primarily relating to:

(a) the inclusion of a new provision for system outages in the LMNP Terms;

(b) a change to the port activation process timetable;

(c) a change to the ported number relinquishment process and related timetable; and

(d) changes to the service levels.
