Classification of a Reserve

Pursuant to section 16(2A) of the Reserves Act 1977, the New Plymouth District Council, pursuant to a resolution dated 13 September 2005, hereby classifies the reserve in the Schedule hereto for recreation purposes to form part of Hickford Park.

Revocation of Notice Declaring That Land is a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 4 September 1997, No. 116, page 2735, effective from the 22nd day of November 2006, following which on the 23rd day of November 2006 the South Wairarapa District Council passed a resolution under section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977 declaring the land in the Schedule to be recreation reserves, this notice being published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 December 2006, No. 167, page 4849.

Classification and Vesting of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a recreation reserve, and vests the reserve in the Tararua District Council in trust for recreation reserve purposes.

The vesting is subject to the Crown reserving the right to cancel the vesting of the reserve in whole or in part, if or when the reserve was required for Treaty of Waitangi settlement purposes.

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as an historic reserve and named the Shield’s Flat Stone Walls Historic Reserve.

Declaration that Land is a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Christchurch City Council on 18 August 2008:

"In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Burwood/Pegasus Community Board, under delegated authority from the Christchurch City Council, resolves that those parcels of land vested in the City in fee simple and described in the Schedule, be declared to be a Recreation Reserve pursuant to Section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977."
