In a notice with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 July 2009, No. 99, page 2258, please replace:
“Whakapoungakau Range Range
Located west of Lake Okataina, extending generally northerly and then north-easterly from Millar Road to just west of the Okataina Outdoor Education Centre on Lake Okataina Road, topographic maps 260-U15-Ngongotaha, GR 092 408, to 260-U16-Rotorua, GR 057 329. New name for a feature not named on current mapping.”
with

Conservation Act 1987
Authorisation of the Exchange of Stewardship Area for Other Land
Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator, West Coast Conservancy, Department of Conservation, authorises the exchange of the stewardship area described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule.

Declaring Conservation Land to be a Reserve
Under section 8(1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the Conservation Area described in the Schedule shall be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a recreation reserve subject to the provisions of the latter Act.
