(3) Step 3: Matters to be recorded—

(a) The testing officer must record for each assessment undertaken at Step 2 whether the person being tested:

(i) sways while balancing;

(ii) puts his or her raised foot on the ground during the 30-second assessment period;

(iii) uses 1 or both of his or her arms to maintain balance;

(iv) hops;

(v) is able to follow directions.

(b) If the one leg stand assessment is not completed, or not completed satisfactorily, the testing officer must record that fact.

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This notice, which comes into force on 1 November 2009 prescribes the manner in which the compulsory impairment test is to be carried out. This notice is administered by the New Zealand Police.

Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 41(1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 6 November 2007, I, John William Macilree, Principal Adviser, Aviation, in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that the Secretary for Transport has exercised the power conferred by section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 to vary the terms of the Scheduled International Air Service Licence issued to South African Airways (Proprietary) Limited to authorise the airline to code-share as the marketing carrier with a New Zealand airline via all points in Australia, with capacity as filed with and acknowledged by the Secretary for Transport.

This variation took effect on 25 October 2009.
