This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Private Schools Conditional Integration

Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreements

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, Schools and Student Support, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:

Our Lady of the Assumption School, Hoon Hay, Christchurch

Aidanfield Christian School, Christchurch

The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on 12 October 2009.

Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, 39 Princess Street, Tower Junction, Christchurch.

Education (Early Childhood Centres)

Regulations 1998

Recognition of First Aid Qualifications in Early Childhood Centres

Pursuant to Regulations 25(3) and 38 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, the Secretary for Education hereby recognises all first aid qualifications arising from courses that:

(a) are delivered by a New Zealand Qualifications Authority accredited first aid provider; and

(b) meet the requirements of Unit Standard 6400 (or any successor to the Unit Standard); and

(c) are evidenced by a certificate issued by the trainer that is valid for a period of up to two years following qualification; and

(d) require a refresher course every two years to maintain the certificate as current.

This notice replaces the Recognition of First Aid Qualifications in Early Childhood Centres notice dated the 6th day of November 2008, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 November 2008, No. 175, page 4519, pursuant to the above-mentioned Regulations.

This notice does not revoke other notices previously issued under the above-mentioned Regulations and it comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Standards and Specifications) Notice 2009

Pursuant to section 296P of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Standards and Specifications) Notice 2009.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on 1 November 2009.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice, terms and expressions defined in the Fisheries Act 1996 have the same meanings as in that Act.

  2. Nature of standards and specifications—(1) I have amended the previous standards and specifications issued under section 296O of the Fisheries Act 1996.

(2) The standards and specifications relate to the performance or exercise of specified functions, duties and powers by an Approved Service Delivery Organisation (ASDO).

(3) The amendment to the standards and specifications are minor and technical and are to:

(a) create consistency with the Fisheries Act 1996, its Regulations and other legal requirements;

(b) create consistency with other documentation and information associated with the ASDO standards and specifications;

(c) enable ease of reading, referencing and understanding terminology used throughout the ASDO standards and specifications;

(d) correctly reflect current practices undertaken by the Ministry and the ASDO in respect of service delivery;

(e) create consistency in terminology and formatting used in the ASDO standards and specifications; and

(f) clarify service delivery requirements to be undertaken by the ASDO under the ASDO standards and specifications.

  1. Copies of standards and specifications—Full copies of the standards and specifications are available from the Head Office, Ministry of Fisheries, 101–103 The Terrace (PO Box 1020), Wellington.
