Preamble
The variations set forth in the Schedule below are variations to Standards in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code published by the National Health and Medical Research Council in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. P 27, on 27 August 1987, which have been varied from time to time.

Citation
These variations may be collectively known as the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code – Amendment No. 112 – 2009.

Commencement
These variations commence on 17 September 2009.

Correction of Typographical Error
Amendment No. 111 published on 13 August 2009 contained the following typographical errors –

  • Under Item [4.3], the clause heading should have been –

    6 Food additives performing the same function

  • Under Item [7.3], the heading should have been –

    Specification for bentonite

    and not as gazetted –

    bentonite

    Specification for bentonite

Commodity Levies (Meat) Order 2004

Notification of Levy Rates on Sheepmeat, Beef and Goatmeat

Pursuant to clause 14 of the Commodity Levies (Meat) Order 2004, notice is hereby given that for the levy year commencing 1 October 2009, the rates of sheepmeat, beef and goatmeat levies (exclusive of GST) and bases of calculation shall be:

(a) Sheepmeat levy – all sheep slaughtered $0.45 per head;

(b) Beef levy – all cattle slaughtered (including beef cattle and dairy cattle but excluding bobby calves) $3.80 per head;

and

(c) Goatmeat – all goats slaughtered $0.00 per head.
