Notice of Removal of Trade Name Products From the Register (Notice No. 162)

Pursuant to section 22(3)(b) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 ("the Act"), the Director-General of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority gives notice that the following trade name products are removed from the Register:

Pursuant to section 22(3)(c) of the Act, the products may continue to be sold and used (but not manufactured) until 25 August 2010.

Pursuant to section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 ("the Act"), the Director-General of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Act:

Trade Name: ACETO SPROUT NIP SOLID

Reference: P008035

Active Ingredient and Concentration: Chlorpropham 980g/kg (in the form of a briquette or pellet)

Formulation Type: Hot fogging concentrate

General Use Claim: For vapour phase treatment of stored potatoes to prevent sprouting.

Any person may make a written submission to the director-general concerning this application.

Under sections 16 and 17 of the Act, a written submission:

(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission; and

(b) may state any decision sought on that application; and

(c) must be received by the director-general no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
