Amendment of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Wairakei School (2066)
Pursuant to section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice dated the 13th day of January 2009 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 January 2009, No. 5, page 115, directing the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Wairakei School Board of Trustees.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in the limited statutory manager:

All functions, powers and duties of the employer (whether statutory or otherwise);

all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);

all functions, powers and duties of board organisation and management (whether statutory or otherwise); and
-
ensuring the development and implementation of an action plan to address issues identified in the June 2009 and any subsequent Education Review Office reports.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Supplementary Integration Agreement
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, Schools and Student Support, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:
John Paul College, Rotorua.
The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 11 August 2009.
A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, Level 4, 1144 Pukaki Street, Rotorua.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998
Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 4) 2009 (No. F496)
Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Programme Manager (Deed of Settlement Implementation Programme) at the Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988) gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 4) 2009.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on 21 August 2009.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) “customary food-gathering” has the same meaning as defined in Regulation 2 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(b) “Tangata Kaitiaki” are local dialect words that have the same meaning as “Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki”, a term that is defined in Regulation 2 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(c) “Tangata Kaitiaki” means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 for the management of customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.
(d) “area/rohe moana” means the area described by a line commencing at the mouth of the Kai Iwi Stream (39°52.90'S and 174°53.00'E); then in a generally south-westerly direction to a point on the boundary of the South Island Fisheries Waters (40°27.76'S and 174°04.39'E); then in a generally south-easterly direction along the boundary of the South Island Fisheries Waters to a point on the boundary of the South Island Fisheries Waters (40°30.14'S and 174°10.35'E); then in a generally south-easterly direction along the boundary of the South Island Fisheries Waters to a point on the boundary of the South Island Fisheries Waters (40°36.25'S and 174°25.63'E); then in a straight line in a generally north-easterly direction to a point on the coast at Motukaraka (39°59.19'S and 175°02.29'E); then along the mean high-water mark in a generally north-westerly direction to a point on the northern bank of the Whanganui River (39°56.02'S and 174°57.85'E); then along the mean high-water mark in a generally north-westerly direction to the point of commencement. The geographical coordinates named are in terms of the WGS84 datum.

Nomination of Tangata Kaitiaki—The Whanganui River Māori Trust Board, acting for Te Atihaunui a Paparangi, has nominated Michael Patrick Osborne and John Niko Maihi as Tangata Kaitiaki for managing customary food-gathering in the area/rohe moana.

Appointment of Tangata Kaitiaki—On 9 August 2009, the Minister of Fisheries confirmed, under Regulation 9(1) of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the appointment of Michael Patrick Osborne and John Niko Maihi as Tangata Kaitiaki for managing customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.
