Notice of Appointment of a Commissioner for

Pursuant to section 78N(2) of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby appoint

Janet Kelly

as commissioner for Barrytown School.
All functions, powers and duties of the board of Barrytown
School are vested in the commissioner.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary
integration agreement has been signed between the Minister
of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting
through the Group Manager, Schools and Student Support,
Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and
the proprietor of the following school:

Bethel Christian School, Te Awamutu.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed
on 4 August 2009.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is
available for inspection without charge by any member
of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education,
136–150 Victoria Street, Hamilton.

Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early
Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(i) of the Education
(Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting
under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education,
I hereby cancel the licence dated 1 September 2008, which
was granted under those Regulations to Theo Chapple
in respect of Apollo Crèche (20025), situated at corner
of Rosedale Road and Apollo Drive, Albany, Auckland.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its
notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Regulations 1999

Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice
(No. 8) 2009 (No. F492)

Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (South Island
Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, the Programme
Manager (Deed of Settlement Implementation Programme)
at the Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to a delegated
authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector
Act 1988) gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited
    as the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice
    (No. 8) 2009.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on 14 August 2009.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice:

(a) "customary food-gathering" has the same meaning
as defined in the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing)
Regulations 1999.

(b) "Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki" means the person or
persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the
Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing)
Regulations 1999 for the management of customary
food-gathering within an area/rohe moana.

(c) "area/rohe moana" means the area from the north
bank of the Pouerua River to the Hokitika River.
The area extends seaward to the limit of the "South
Island fisheries waters" as defined under Regulation
2 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing)
Regulations 1999, and inland to boundaries defined
for Te Rūnanga o Makāwhio and Te Rūnaka o Kāti
Waewae under Te Runanga o Ngāi Tahu Act 1996.

  1. Nomination of Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki—Te Rūnanga o
    Ngāti Waewae, representing the whānau and hapū of Ngāi
    Tahu Whānui holding manawhenua manamoana over the
    area/rohe moana (as represented by Te Rūnanga o Ngāi
    Tahu), has nominated Benjamine Hutana and Rick Barber
    as Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana.

  2. Appointment of Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki—On 5 August
    2009, the Minister of Fisheries confirmed, under Regulation
    9(1) of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing)
    Regulations 1999, the appointment of Benjamine Hutana
    and Rick Barber as Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for managing
