(x) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 45, column e, the words "(b) The presence of the substance must be indicated in the list of ingredients referred to in Part 2(2A) of Schedule 1 when its concentration exceeds: -

  • 0.001% in leave-on products
  • 0.01% in rinse-off products.δ"

(y) Omit, in Schedule 5, table 1, column e, rows 67 and 69–92 the words "The presence of the substance must be indicated in the list of ingredients referred to in Article 6 (1)(g) when its concentration exceeds: -

  • 0.001% in leave-on products
  • 0.01% in rinse-off products" and also omit any number indicating a footnote attached to those words.

(z) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, column e, rows 67, 69–92 the words "The presence of the substance must be indicated in the list of ingredients referred to in Part 2(2A) of Schedule 1 when its concentration exceeds: -

  • 0.001% in leave-on products
  • 0.01% in rinse-off products.δ"

(aa) Attach, to Schedule 5, table 1, wherever the indicator δ appears in the body of the table, the footnote "δA cosmetic product containing a component at reference numbers 45, 67–92 of Schedule 5 does not need to carry the name of the component in New Zealand, provided the label contains a statement \'flavour\' or \'flavours\' or \'aroma\' or \'aromas\' or \'fragrance\' or \'fragrances\' or \'parfum\' or \'parfums\'."

(ab) Omit, in Schedule 5, table 1, all of row 68.

(ac) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 72, column c, the words "(a) Oral products (b) Other products".

(ad) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 72, column d, the words "(b) 1.0%".

(ae) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 88, column e, after any other text the words "Peroxide value less than 20mmoles/L**."

(af) Attach, to Schedule 5, table 1, the footnote "** This limit applies to the d-limonene component and not to the finished cosmetic product."

(ag) Omit, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 89, column b, the words "Methyl heptin carbonate (CAS No 111-12-6)" and substitute with the words "Methyl 2-octynoate CAS No 111-12-6 Methyl heptine carbonate".

(ah) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 89, column c, the words "(a) Oral products (b) Other products".

(ai) Insert, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 89, column d, the words "(b) 0.01% when used alone. When present in combination with methyl octine carbonate, the combined level in the finished product should not exceed 0.01% (of which methyl octine carbonate should not be more than 0.002%)."

(aj) Omit, in Schedule 5, table 1, row 98, column b, the words "Salicylic acid6" and substitute with the words "Salicylic acid13".

(ak) Attach, to Schedule 5, table 1, the footnote "13 As a preservative, see Schedule 7, Table 1, entry 3."
