Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority gives notice that it intends to apply for approval of the Code of Practice for Outdoor Pyrotechnic Displays.
This code has been developed by the Environmental Risk Management Authority and sets out a means of compliance with the requirements of the Hazardous Substances (Classes 1 to 5 Controls) Regulations 2001 (as amended), in particular Regulations 35β43 which relate to the management of Class 1G substances for use in outdoor pyrotechnic displays.

Pursuant to section 166(3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, I, Simon Whiteley, Acting Director, Land Transport New Zealand, notify that the following exemptions from Land Transport Rules were made under section 166(1) of that Act between 1 October 2006 and 31 December 2006:
