proportional coastline share of any aquaculture settlement assets created or any share of pre-commencement space settlement

Notice of Intention to Assign or Alter Place Names
Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the
New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa to assign new place names or alter existing place names, stated
in the first column of the Schedule below, to the respective places described in the second column of the said Schedule.
Objection to the proposed new or altered place names may be given in writing, setting out the grounds for objection, to the
Secretary of the New Zealand Geographic Board, care of Land Information New Zealand, Private Box 5501, Wellington 6145,
within a period of three months from the date of the New Zealand Gazette containing this notice.

Waireinga Falls
Waterfall on the Pakoka River, north of Aotea Harbour, and approximately 11km south
of Raglan, topographic map 260-Q15 & R15 Kawhia, GR 769 643. Alteration from
Bridal Veil Falls, and restoration of an original Māori name.
Wellington Land District
Te Motu o Poutoa
Historic pa site located on an elevated area of the left bank of the Manawatu River,
covering Anzac Park and overlooking Palmerston North, topographic map 260-T24

Marlborough and Nelson Land Districts
Elliott Peak
Mountain at height 861m, located in the range 2km south of Okiwi Bay, Croisilles
Harbour, Marlborough Sounds, topographic map 260-O27 Nelson, GR 648 085. Spelling
alteration from Elliot Peak.
Nelson Land District
Rangitoto ki te Tonga/D’Urville Island
Major island at the northern extremity of Marlborough Sounds, topographic map
260-O26, P25 & Pt P26 D’Urville, GR 825 420. Updating the dual naming format from
Rangitoto ki te Tonga (D’Urville Island) and replacing previous New Zealand Gazette,
17 February 1983, No. 18, page 409, and New Zealand Gazette, 19 January 1984, No. 3,
