Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

Setting Apart General Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, that area of general land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a native reserve to be known as Rangihoua Native Reserve for the common use and benefit of the persons or class of persons which currently enjoy the benefit of the existing Rangihoua Native Reserve.

Recommendation Redefining the Persons of a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(5)(d) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the land described in the Schedule hereto that was set apart as a Māori reservation by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 January 1961, No. 1, page 4, is hereby redefined for the purpose of a marae and meeting place known as Weeraroa Marae for the common use and benefit of the Ngāti Tahinga tribe and sub-tribes Ngāti Te Kura, Ngāti Pare and Ngāti Karewa.
